Weight Loss With Hypnosis

I was so motivated to write this article after viewing yet another senseless ad about that monster we call weight loss and inform as many people as possible of the safe, natural effective process of weight loss with hypnosis. It will help you to know I have worked with thousands of people from all walks of life to assist them to their weight loss goal using hypnosis. This was after America watched me help a pastry chef lose 40 pounds with no struggle whatsoever during the Dateline NBC show The Ultimate Diet Challenge.
There is one problem with that word diet when it comes to using hypnosis, and that is you don’t diet at all. The big secret or key to it all is to be able to change your way of thinking, feeling and behaving about food and create a healthy lifestyle that will allow your body to shed fat (what we really mean when we say lose weight) and look and feel better as well as be healthier and happier and live not only longer but have better quality of life during those living years.
Just imagine what it would be like if you just didn’t want to eat junk food and fat causing food. Imagine just seeming to want to stop eating once your natural signal for hunger was satisfied. Wouldn’t that be better than the struggle and constant nagging thought about your weight? It sure is and you too can make it happen when achieving weight loss with hypnosis. This might be the time I remove a few myths for you regarding hypnosis.
1) Guided imagery, visualization and any other form of positive thought is actually hypnosis.
2) There are only 4 brain wave levels – thinking, daydreaming, dreaming and unconsciousness. The state of daydreaming and dreaming are where we are when we are in what is referred to as the hypnotic state.
3) The word hypnosis was first coined in a book in 1843 by Dr. James Braid because people who were in the hypnotic state appeared to be sleeping and the Greek God of sleep is Hypnos.
You see, there is nothing strange or weird about hypnosis. It’s just a word for what we do all day. Any time you are spaced out or zoned out or get startled, you were in a light trance. And in that state you are more open to suggestion. Maybe you now understand why advertising works.
But back to weight loss with hypnosis; just like an athlete using visualization to improve their game we can all use the same process to achieve any goal. However, when using your imagination and acting as if you already have achieved the goal, using all your senses and making the created scene as real as possible, that may not be enough. What I have found in the 11 years of practice with people from all around the world is that the subconscious mind, which controls our behaviors (why will power / conscious force doesn’t work) has accepted this behavior associated to unhealthy eating as serving some purpose… an emotional purpose.
At the subconscious level we are directed away from pain and toward pleasure. And though the unhealthy choices and amounts people eat cause other problems such as excess, uncomfortable weight gain, blood, heart and joint problems as well as emotional issues like decreasing self esteem and more, the bad eating patterns are serving some other purpose. I have found it can be because there was a painful event like having your heart broken so getting fat will keep people away. Or life isn’t being lived in a satisfying way and there is lack of attention, companionship… pleasure. Many times it begins because of boredom and becomes a bad habit.
Either way, please know it is not necessary to continue with unhealthy habits, no need to diet and deprive yourself and be miserable and there is no need to struggle with will power to reach your goal of being healthy and fit. Instead of working against your subconscious, work with it and achieve weight loss with hypnosis… the natural, safe and effective approach. Like all my clients have said, “I wish I did this first.”

Quick Ways To Add Volume and Shine Back Into Your Hair

Everyday we see men and women in advertisements with perfect, beautiful, shiny, voluminous hair. So is it so bad to want our hair to look just like that? Unlike these models, singers, and movie stars we don’t have a team of stylists working on our hair day in and day out to make it look beautiful. But that is just it; you don’t need to be rich and famous to have shiny, voluminous, gorgeous looking hair. Adding sheen to you hair doesn’t have to be difficult. All you need are a few beauty secrets to add life back into your tresses. Follow these tools to invigorate your locks, to look like you just stepped out of a photo shoot.
There are billions of hair care products on the market today and with so many options to choose from, it’s hard to know what product to purchase. Do you look at the presentation on the bottle, the clever words used to describe it or the ingredient list that may have chemical names so big you can’t even pronounce them? But choosing the right shampoo is pivotal in keeping your hair healthy, shiny and beautiful. Shine enhancing, heat activated and color treated shampoos are three options to enhance your color and sheen. Most women use some type of heating tool or color enhancement in their hair today. Its part of the appeal to making our hairdos look perfect. However, coloring your hair or using a heating appliance can leave your hair dry and dull. Color protective shampoos work with your hair to protect your color from fading and lock in moisture in your hair shafts. When hair contains moisture it appears shiny because it’s easier for light to reflect off of the strands. Heat activated shampoos lock in the moisture when you use a heating tool. Another ingredient to look for in shampoo is amino acids. These are proteins that strengthen and restore damaged hair. Healthy hair equals lots of shine.
After washing your hair the cuticles of the hair shaft are opened to allow water into the shaft. Unfortunately by using warm water in the shower the cuticles are left open allowing moisture and water to escape. So after you wash your hair and before you get out of the shower rinse your hair in cold water. This closes the cuticle locking the moisture inside the hair shaft. More moisture amounts to tons of shine.
A deep conditioning treatment can be used for frizzy, dry or damaged hair but it also adds shine back into your strands. By using a deep conditioning treatment once a week you can restore moisture and repair damaged hair. After you shampoo, towel dry your hair. Apply the deep conditioner and wrap your hair with a plastic bag or shower cap to trap the heat inside. This keeps the cuticles open to allow the deep conditioner to go deep through the layers of hair. Rinse after 15 minutes to reveal shiny beautiful hair.
Basic hair care calls for brushing your hair daily, however with all the new knowledge about hair care regular brushing isn’t always maintained. Plus for women who have wavy to curly hair brushing can mean frizz. However, a good old-fashioned hair brushing can actually add shine to your locks. At night while we sleep our hair gets flattened, bent and mussed up. When you wake up, if you brush your hair you will instantly add shine because the brush smooths out the hair strands and distributes natural oils from root to tip. Plus it will remove all dead, loose hair that normally falls out during the day. And for curly hair after you brush adds an anti frizz serum to restore curls and tendrils.
A large amount of women use some sort of hair care product now a days. The problem is that because there are many different hair types there can’t be just one product for everyone. Stores have aisles and aisles filled with hair care products to make our hair look pretty and beautiful. When choosing a hair care product you should always use the best quality products. A great product will smooth out the cuticle, rather than leaving a thick coat on the outside of your hair. When the outer layer of your hair is smooth, light reflects off of it making it shiny and bright. For dull hair a shine serum will lighten up your locks making your hair beautiful and playful. Look for products with lecithin an amino acid. A very small amount will add shine without heaviness. For people with fine hair use cream based products. Lightly spray the product onto your hair to add volume and shine. Too much product will weight down your hair making it look dull and lifeless. Thick hair should use oil-based …

Vitamin E Protects Lungs From Damage

A new study in women over the age of 45 has shown that long-term, regular use of vitamin E can lower the risk of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by about 10 percent in both smokers and non-smokers.
“The findings from our study suggest that increasing vitamin E prevents COPD,” said Ms. Agler. “Previous research found that higher intake of vitamin E was associated with a lower risk of COPD, but the studies were not designed to answer the question of whether increasing vitamin E intake would prevent COPD. Using a large, randomized controlled trial to answer this question provided stronger evidence than previous studies.”
Yes, it is studies like this that make the vitamin-hating, Big Pharma-sponsored public health goons heads spin. COPD is the 4th leading cause of death in America and costs the health care system well over 40 billion dollars per year. While they are busy telling everyone there is nothing you can do about it besides take your symptom-alleviating drugs, this new study shows that the vitamin the American Heart Association loves to hate may help this problem immensely. Of course, vitamin E also helps heart health but the AHA doesn’t want you to believe that, as its bad for drug sales.
COPD is the term given to progressive lung deterioration. It is a general term reflecting both lung inflammation and lung damage. It is more common in smokers, but it is now common due to excessive pollution in any major metropolitan area. It flares up when there is a respiratory infection. Chronic mucous is a typical symptom, which is produced by inflammation within the lungs reflective of some type of respiratory distress.
The weakening of lung function is a significant health issue because it is harder for a person to get oxygen into their body – in turn stressing cardiovascular function and overall cellular health. The fact that the medical establishment has been able to plop a name on a set of symptoms and issues is of little value to anyone and is a further treatment to the failure of Western medicine to truly improve the human condition.
Until Americans get over their fixation on drugs to fix their symptoms there is very little that can be done to control health care costs. Of course, individuals actually learning something about their health is a first step in the right direction. Soon thereafter, an understanding of the value of natural remedies to fix and prevent health problems begins to become apparent and self-evident (as various remedies are tried).
Vitamin E is one of the most important nutrients for human health during aging. Tocotrienols are far and away the most active form of vitamin E.…

Curly Hair: How to Care for the Curls

Curly hair can be a beautiful asset, but it takes many of us years to figure out just what kinds of products, styles, and services work best for us. Some curly hair tends to be more frizzy than most, some curls are bigger and softer, both requiring different techniques. As you choose products and services for your hair with curls, keep in mind the guiding principal: if it works for you, if you like it, if your hair feels good, then keep doing it. If you are dissatisfied, consider these tips.
Shampoo
There are certain shampoos and conditioners specifically designed for curly hair. These might be great options for you and are a good place to start if you have curly hair and if you are dissatisfied with your current shampoo. Find shampoo designed for curly hair at a local hair salon. The Bumble and Bumble line of products offers good options.
Do plan to clarify your hair at least twice each month. A clarifying shampoo will remove build-up from your hair caused by conditioner, other hair products, or even hard water. You may find your own shampoo has not been working well for you. Remove the build-up and you will begin to love your shampoo again.
After clarifying your hair, be sure to condition it well. The clarifying shampoo strips out all of your previous conditioners. Conditioner will add moisture back to your hair. Hair with curls tends to be dry hair and this moisture is critical.
You will find your hair cleaner and shinier after clarifying it. The curl will spring back up and provide a nice bounce.
Curl defining cream
Before styling your hair, try a curl defining cream that will help give your curls a soft look, not that “crispy” look that bothers most people. Ask at your local salon for their recommended curl defining cream and give it a try. It may work well for you.
Blow dry or drip dry
Depending on your hair and your circumstances, you may choose to blow dry your hair or you may let it dry on its own. If your hair tends to get “frizzy,” you may not want to blow dry it at all, but you certainly do not want to blow dry it entirely.
If you do blow dry your hair, use a blow dryer with a diffuser. A diffuser is a flat attachment to the blow dryer that makes the hot air come out over a larger service area. A traditional blow drier focuses the heat on a two-inch area of your hair whereas a diffuser may expand that area to six or more inches, with less targeting of heat on any one part. A diffuser reduces the pressure in the blow dryer so that it does not blow the curl out. In fact, a regular hair dryer is a tool people use to straighten their hair, not to complement their curl.
Cuts and color
In getting your curly hair cut, a little goes a long way. Be conservative about cutting the length of your hair. If you ask your stylist to remove a lot of length, you may be surprised to find that when that curl springs back up, your hair is a lot shorter than you bargained for. You should also consider layers — they are usually the answer in springing your curl back.
Of course, depending on length and texture of hair, be cautious about heavy layers around your face — you can end up with “dog ears” that take a while to grow out. This is a common mistake of stylists who are not used to cutting curly hair.
Even with color, you will run into problems if the stylist has not worked with curly hair (or if you are attempting to color your own hair). Small to medium-sized highlights work well in defining the curl, but if highlights are too chunky, your hair will look clumpy. You will not be satisfied with your look.
Consult an expert
There is no specific blueprint for curly hair — curly hair presents with a lot of variations. If you find yourself frustrated with your own curly hair, find a stylist who specializes in curly hair, particularly one with curly hair herself. You will cut through a lot of the trial and error process and end up with a system that works for you.…

Your Hair Is Dirty and It Smells – Tips on Hair Cleanliness and Care

Your hair is dirty and it smells! These are words you never want to hear – especially if you’re female.
Let’s focus on cleanliness of your hair because there’s more to it than you think. Firstly, shampooing. Choose a good shampoo. How do you know a good one? Well, put it this way, it costs around 1 GBP for a bottle of liquid that will clean your dishes so don’t you think you owe it to your hair to pay a bit more! Ask your Stylist which shampoo might suit your hair best.
Once you have selected a good and suitable Shampoo.. don’t spend very long shampooing the hair. If you leave shampoo lather on hair it will cause it to go dry so, remember, get a move on.
Next, Conditioner. Don’t overdo it with the Conditioner. Stick to the instructions on the bottle. If you find your hair is going lank, oily, limp, lifeless or looking dull.. you have the wrong Conditioner for your hair or you are using too much.
You know, finding the perfect product for your hair is a case of trial and error. Bear in mind though, your hair is always going through changes so once you’ve found suitable products, every now and then use a different range.
Rinsing is so important too. Rinse well but handle the hair gently whilst doing it. The times I have seen friends rinse their hair and then do all kinds of squeezing, dragging, rubbing (yes rubbing!) with a towel all of the above is mistreatment of hair and isn’t recommended.
So to recap. Decent products, quick shampoo, rinse well, apply Conditioner (as directed) and rinse, rinse, rinse. Don’t have the water too hot and depending on the type of hair we sometimes recommend that you give a final rinse in TEPID – COLD water, this does have a sealing effect on the hair shaft.…

Great Tips To Help Improve Your Health And Fitness

Fitness is the goal of many people. People spend millions of dollars a year on exercise products, gym memberships, dietary supplements and weight loss pills. All this, in an attempt to achieve fitness. While some of these products may work, some do not and can even, have the opposite result. For tips on fitness methods that work, read this article.

Your fitness routine will be much more enjoyable if you have someone to share it with. Find a friend or family member who has the same fitness goals as you and work together. You will be able to encourage each other and offer a strong support system when the going gets tough.

When working out in the sun or heat, be sure to stay well hydrated. Dehydration can occur during any workout or during long stints in the sun or heat, so exercising in the sun greatly increases the risk. Drink several glasses of water in the hours before your workout and enough during your work out to stay hydrated.

Take time to stretch in between sets of weightlifting. Research has shown that people who stretch while waiting to start their next set of lifting weights have stronger muscles than those who just sit and wait between sets. Stretching is a little thing you can do to strengthen yourself while you’re resting.

Keep losing weight even when you are watching tv. When commercials come on, walk around the room or prepare for the next part of your exercise routine. In addition, when you are sitting on your couch, try performing light weight training. There are many little ways to incorporate exercise into tiny gaps in your day.

Fitness

It is important to take your activity level at work into account when designing a fitness regimen. This is especially important in the beginning. If you work on your feet all day walking may be very easy for you, but adding a few more miles on to your daily total could kill your feet. If you sit at a desk all day, on the other hand, your general fitness level will be low and something as simple as a mile or two walk could be a great way to get you started being active.

Good Health

Relaxation is key to keeping good health and fitness. Sure you might exercise and eat healthy and maintain all of those things to keep your nice figure, but if you don’t give your mind and body a rest, it will become unhealthy and other things will begin to fail as well. A massage is a great way to relax and also give your body and muscles the reward they deserve for following such a strict regimen.

In conclusion, fitness is a common goal for many people. Millions of dollars are spent each year on exercise products, gym memberships, diet supplements and pills for weight loss. Many of these products do not actually work and even end up, working against fitness. If you remember the fitness methods in this article, you can avoid the useless methods and achieve fitness with ways that really work.…
