African Mango – Easy Weight Loss or an Easy Way to Lose Your Money?

This article is a comprehensive review of African Mango. It will look at the scientific data surrounding this new supplement. We have also interviewed actual users of the supplement, and finally we will show you how to make sure you’re buying from a reputable merchant, and what to do if things go wrong. As I write this article, the African Mango story continues to grow and grow. So what is it, and why is it causing such a storm. The secret to the supplement’s success is Irvingia Gabonensis. Let’s look at some of the preliminary scientific data. In mid-2005 a study was undertaken by the Nutrition,HIV and Health Research Unit. This unit is based at the University of Yaounde in Cameroon.
The study was designed to test the effect of Irvingia Gabonensis seeds on body weight and blood lipids of obese subjects in Cameroon.
Therefore, a double blind randomised study was commissioned involving 40 subjects. 28 received Irvingia Gabonensis and 12 received a placebo. The trial period was one month. The subjects taking IG were administered 1.05 grams three times a day for the month.
The trial demonstrated that the mean body weight of the IG group decreased by 5.26 +/- 2.37% and that of the placebo group by 1.32 +/- 0.41%. This is a significant difference indicating that most of the IG group achieved 5% weight loss in one month!
A further positive outcome was that the obese patients under Irvingia gabonensis treatment also had a significant decrease of total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, triglycerides, and an increase of HDL-cholesterol. As you would expect, the placebo group did not demonstrate any changes in blood lipid components.
Now, you can see why African Mango is causing such a stir: Irvingia gabonensis seed is the main ingredient of African Mango. Bloggers such as Lin Davenport have been quick to document their own experiences using African Mango. Lin is 30 years old, and reports:
So what exactly is African Mango what is it and where does it come from?
This beautiful tropical fruit can only be found in the west coast of Cameroon, in deep rain forest.
TheAfrican Mango differs from other mango fruits in that it produces a particular seed, which natives of Cameroon refer to as “Dikka nuts.” For hundreds of years, an extract from the seeds called Irvingia Gabonensis have been used among Cameroon villagers for its wide-ranging medicinal benefits.
Why take African Mango?
* African Mango will help you achieve sustainable weight loss and fast.
* It’s powerful anti-lip and cholesterol lowering function will help you achieve noticeable reduction in fat in areas where it is traditionally difficult to achieve absolute fat loss, e.g. abdominal areas.
* In addition to weight loss, the supplement acts a thermogenic accelerating exercise function, and toning your legs.
Here are some key reasons why African Mango is so effective for weight loss
Thermogenesis: Essentially IG seed extract causes your body to burn calories faster. So even a mild walk will have the calorie burning effect of a good run. In fact it has been shown that some test subjects lost up to 12.3lbs in 28 days.
Stimulant Free: African Mango is 100% stimulant free and it seems not to produce any known side effects to users. After 3 months of use I have no side effects at all.
Suppression of Appetite: The fruit engenders a strong feeling of being full and therefore subjects do not feel the need to eat so again this is true, I absolutely did not get the food cravings that I endured when dieting.
Energizing: Even allowing for the facts that the african mango does not contain stimulants users have reported a raising of energy levels. Without doubt I really do feel much more lively and lighter, not just in the sense of not weighing so much, but in my moods and general well being.
Cholesterol: In test subjects it was proven that levels of unhealthy cholesterol were reduced, significantly.

Vitamins And Minerals For Your Bones And Teeth

Did you know that a lot of the body’s calcium is stored inside bones? As much as 90 percent of calcium is stored inside your bones. Other than calcium, phosphorus is the next most abundant mineral in our bodies. But these 2 minerals need and depend on vitamin D to move or transport them (calcium and phosphorus) to the bones from the intestines. Vitamin D also helps to absorb the calcium in the kidneys before excretion.
There 3 vitamins and minerals have to work hand in hand together to create stronger bones and teeth.
Calcium
All bones need calcium. Calcium is also very essential for other functions in your body like regulating your heartbeat, forming blood clots, help muscle contract and help the nerves to function. Calcium level also needs to be stable in your body to work properly. This is why too little or too much calcium is not good.
Hypocalcemia(too little calcium): This happens when you have low levels of calcium in your body. If calcium is too little, you will experience muscle spasms, cramps, heart irregularities, stomach cramps and pains. What happens if you don’t have enough calcium? Your body takes it directly from the storage, your bones! Therefore, you have to replace your calcium by consuming dairy products, green vegetables and eggs.
Hypercalcemia: (too much calcium): If there is too much calcium and phosphorus in your blood, in can cause your organs to function improperly and become damaged. Large calcium intakes can also reduce zinc and iron absorption and impair vitamin K metabolism. It can even cause you to have a heart failure.
Phosphorus
Like calcium, phosphorus is also used to contract muscles, build and repair bones and teeth. Phosphorus also helps the nerves to function properly. 85 percent of phosphorus can be found in your bones. The remaining 15 percent is stored in tissues in your body. Where to get phosphorus? You can consume meat, nuts and dairy products. Again, your kidney helps control the level of phosphorus in your blood. Extra or excessive phosphorus is filtered out in the urine. One more thing about phosphorus, it can affect the level of calcium in your blood too.
Vitamin D
Without vitamin D, having the best amount of calcium or phosphorus won’t help at all. Your body, specifically the skin makes the most amount of vitamin D. Only a small portion of vitamin D comes from food. Vitamin D actually controls the amount of calcium that is absorbed in your body.…

A Meal From a Mama Cow

Well guys my question for you is, do you know what you are drinking? Are you drinking the same thing a mama cow feeds her youngsters, well that is almost correct. This article will talk about that meal from the cow.
In this wonderful country of ours, the United States, your milk is usually pasteurized and homogenized. Now homogenization will break it up and disperse milk fat globules, thus making the liquid smoother, otherwise the fat would rise to the top of the milk, like the oil in the Gulf as it lay on top of the water.
Your milk is a real excellent source of your protein; and remember it is 87 per cent water. The bacteria are destroyed by pasteurization and that disables the natural enzymes. Up until the 50’s you could get your milk only one way and that was full fat. That was 3.25 per cent milk fat in every eight ounces. I wonder what kept us all from being fat.
Now I should point out at this time that when they removed the fat they also removed the vitamin A and vitamin D, and later added it back in. Guys today you can get your milk
with less than 0.5 per cent fat, which you call fat free.
Hopefully you still drink milk as it has healing powers. Some of you stopped drinking it after your childhood, I encourage you to return to it and consume at lest eight ounces a day. By not drinking it you are missing out on one of your best sources of calcium. And do you know that your fat free milk actually has more calcium than your whole milk because calcium is found in milk solids, not milk fat.
And your milk has been fortified with vitamin D making it one of the only dietary sources of this nutrient for you and your family. It has emerged as an anticancer vitamin. Your family could also use the potassium and magnesium that dairy products provide to you, which naturally may reduce your blood pressure.
And get this; just a daily glass of milk may reduce your family’s risk of colorectal cancer by as much as fifteen per cent. So get aboard with this fat free milk provided by a mama cow. And as always you must eat well to be well.…

Breast Reconstruction After A Mastectomy – What Exactly Are Your Options?

If you’ve had a mastectomy, you will need to decide whether you want to have reconstruction surgery. Some women choose not to and have use a prosthesis instead, it’s up the individual and the decision will often be based on what time of life the woman is at.
Many women decide to have breast reconstruction after a mastectomy for many different reasons. A breast reconstruction can go a long way in helping your emotional recovery after suffering from breast cancer. Many women feel that reconstruction will make them feel more feminine and these feelings should not be underestimated.
The surgery itself is about recreating a breast mound to match the remaining breast as closely as possible. Some women will decide to have surgery on both breasts if there are issues about a good match. In some instances a double mastectomy will need to be performed and two reconstructed breasts made.
The Surgery
There are different methods used for breast reconstruction and of course your doctor will talk to you about the best method for you. This will often depend on what treatments you are undergoing and the stage of your breast cancer. The two main types of reconstruction are implants and using your own live tissue.
? Implants – Implants are placed under the chest muscle and they are usually expandable and the skin can be stretched gradually. This method is more suited for smaller breasted women.
? Using your own tissue – a breast can be reconstructed using your own tissue from areas of your body such as your abdomen and back. This method is more suited for women with larger breasts and for those who have damaged skin from radiotherapy.
Some women choose not to have a nipple reconstruction, however this can done by taking part of the nipple from your remaining breast to attach to the new breast and tattooing the colour onto your skin. This is usually done a few months after the breast reconstruction to allow your new breast time to settle into a position.
When should you have your breast reconstruction surgery?
This will depend on your unique set of circumstances. The reconstruction surgery can either be performed at the same time as your mastectomy or you can choose to have a delayed reconstruction. However in some cases you will have to have a delayed surgery if you require radiotheraphy after your mastectomy operation.
If you are able to make the choice to have either delayed or immediate reconstruction, you will need to look into the benefits and disadvantages of each method. Talk this through with your doctor and if possible talk to someone who has had each operation. If you can’t do this, look online for real life stories.
If you choose to have an immediate reconstruction surgery there are many benefits including; one anaesthetic and hospitalisation, one recovery period, easier emotional recovery, possibility of a better result and less scarring.
If you choose to have a delayed reconstruction surgery, you will have more time to think about your decision, the surgery will be less complex and if you require treatments after your mastectomy these won’t be affected by a reconstruction. The operation will also take less time, ensuring a shorter recovery period.
The delayed reconstruction method may be difficult to deal with emotionally as you will be left without a breast for a period of time, so you will need to take this into consideration.
Most women find they are happy with the results of their operation and it helps them to recover emotionally from such a draining disease such as breast cancer.…

Vitamin Benefits

Vitamins are one of the most important things you can do for your health. A vitamin supplement will maintain calcium balance, boost immunity, provide blood pressure regulation and more. Something that can provide you with a wide range of respected benefits and can aid in:
Heart Disease
Heart Attack
Stroke
Weak, Brittle Bones
Cancers
Body Inflammation
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Joint Pains
Back Aches
Headaches
Vitamin D can provide all these benefits, and almost everything in your body depends on it. Over 70% of Americans are deficient in Vitamin D and this deficiency is a major crisis in the USA. Vitamin D not only supports the absorption of calcium in building strong bones and teeth but provides prevention of bone loss, prevents muscle weakness, and post menopausal osteoporosis. Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin that improves bone strength and density, and is a natural immune support. It is not always practical to get Vitamin D through your diet or the sun, even though your skin makes it when exposed to sunlight. An overdose of Vitamin D can be dangerous so talk to your health care provider before increasing your daily input.

Hair Vitamin Supplements – 5 Keys to Picking the Right One

The dietary food supplement industry has simply exploded in recent years. You can literally buy vitamins for just about anything, and hair care is no different. There are literally hundreds of different hair vitamins that address every conceivable hair concern. And while there’s no question you can gain all sorts of benefits from using a natural hair supplement, which one is the best for you? Here are a few points to consider when looking:
What do you need a vitamin for?
You want to be careful and find a product that addresses your primary hair concern. For example, if you’re dealing with hereditary pattern hair loss, a vitamin formulated for fast hair growth, would not be the best choice. This is because hair loss vitamins typically contain some kind of anti-DHT nutrient, while a vitamin for faster growing hair probably loads up on protein to feed and energize the hair.
Reviews
Check to see if the product you’re considering has a lot of recent, positive feedback from other users. People love to share their good experiences, so a vitamin with minimal or no positive testimonials or reviews probably isn’t the best to try. It’s ideal to make sure any reviews posted are fairly recent, any reputable company will be glad to show off positive feedback from users. Plus checking out user reviews from 3rd party retailers like Amazon can help validate any claims a product makes.
Ingredients
Regardless of the specific concern a hair vitamin addresses, any good one is going to contain a few key ingredients. This is simply because all hair has very similar nutrition needs to be healthy. The three (3) primary things to look for are Niacin, Biotin, and Amino Acids (or proteins). Amino Acids in particular are vital. After all, your hair is actually made of a specialized amino called keratin. So avoid any hair vitamin supplement with very little protein (4mg – or less).
Hair Type
Hair type is good to consider because some vitamins for hair may contain ingredients that can help certain hair types more than others. For instance, if you have very dry hair with excessive breakage, a supplement that contains moisturizing essential oils will offer more benefit to you than one that doesn’t.
Shampoo / Conditioner
What? But we’re talking about hair vitamins! OK, so it’s true that your hair is going to get a lot more benefit from what you eat then what you rub on your head. However, if a vitamin supplement has a shampoo or conditioner specially designed to go along with it, you can possibly multiply the benefits by promoting healthy hair from inside the body and outside!…
