Well guys my question for you is, do you know what you are drinking? Are you drinking the same thing a mama cow feeds her youngsters, well that is almost correct. This article will talk about that meal from the cow.
In this wonderful country of ours, the United States, your milk is usually pasteurized and homogenized. Now homogenization will break it up and disperse milk fat globules, thus making the liquid smoother, otherwise the fat would rise to the top of the milk, like the oil in the Gulf as it lay on top of the water.
Your milk is a real excellent source of your protein; and remember it is 87 per cent water. The bacteria are destroyed by pasteurization and that disables the natural enzymes. Up until the 50’s you could get your milk only one way and that was full fat. That was 3.25 per cent milk fat in every eight ounces. I wonder what kept us all from being fat.
Now I should point out at this time that when they removed the fat they also removed the vitamin A and vitamin D, and later added it back in. Guys today you can get your milk
with less than 0.5 per cent fat, which you call fat free.
Hopefully you still drink milk as it has healing powers. Some of you stopped drinking it after your childhood, I encourage you to return to it and consume at lest eight ounces a day. By not drinking it you are missing out on one of your best sources of calcium. And do you know that your fat free milk actually has more calcium than your whole milk because calcium is found in milk solids, not milk fat.
And your milk has been fortified with vitamin D making it one of the only dietary sources of this nutrient for you and your family. It has emerged as an anticancer vitamin. Your family could also use the potassium and magnesium that dairy products provide to you, which naturally may reduce your blood pressure.
And get this; just a daily glass of milk may reduce your family’s risk of colorectal cancer by as much as fifteen per cent. So get aboard with this fat free milk provided by a mama cow. And as always you must eat well to be well.
