Vitamin Benefits

Vitamins are one of the most important things you can do for your health. A vitamin supplement will maintain calcium balance, boost immunity, provide blood pressure regulation and more. Something that can provide you with a wide range of respected benefits and can aid in:
Heart Disease
Heart Attack
Stroke
Weak, Brittle Bones
Cancers
Body Inflammation
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Joint Pains
Back Aches
Headaches
Vitamin D can provide all these benefits, and almost everything in your body depends on it. Over 70% of Americans are deficient in Vitamin D and this deficiency is a major crisis in the USA. Vitamin D not only supports the absorption of calcium in building strong bones and teeth but provides prevention of bone loss, prevents muscle weakness, and post menopausal osteoporosis. Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin that improves bone strength and density, and is a natural immune support. It is not always practical to get Vitamin D through your diet or the sun, even though your skin makes it when exposed to sunlight. An overdose of Vitamin D can be dangerous so talk to your health care provider before increasing your daily input.
We would like to offer Vitamin D3, the “sunshine” vitamin. This vitamin has been known for its help with bone development, strength and many other health issues. Supplementing your daily diet with this vitamin is an easy way to get your daily allowance. Your Top 5 Benefits of Biotin

Biotin Advantages You Need to Know
Your body must have biotin! It is very simple. The funny piece is that your body only requires about 30mcg of biotin per day. Most of us get plenty of biotin without even being aware of it.
That doesn’t mean that your body could not do with more. We’ve reviewed heaps of biotin supplements and vitamin B7 items that we’re going a bit crazy over it. Here’s the truth: You are able to eat healthier in order to get all of the vitamin B7 you’ll ever need. If you do this, your hair will start to grow like you’d like it to and your fingernails will be really strong and should stop looking as if you dig around in the dirt like you used to as a kid (I’m sure they’re not that bad, however I’m sure you see my aim here).
There are the most important Five things you should know about biotin benefits in your own body:
1. Biotin is Good For Hair Growth
Should you suffer from a biotin shortage, you might deal with loss of hair or dry and damaged hair. Despite the fact that you only need a small amount of vitamin B7, you still need this vitamin!
2. Vitamin B7 Helps Your Nails Grow
Biotin can turn brittle, flaky and gross looking nails into healthy, beautiful nails. There are certainly a bounty of supplements out there for your fingernails and we’d be willing to bet that each one contains vitamin B7.
The trouble is, vitamin B7 can not be absorbed through your fingernails (or your skin as we’ll touch on later in the article). Vitamin B7 comes from within your body, which the body receives from the food you consume.
3. Biotin Has to Come From the Inside
Many products out there claim to be able to increase your vitamin B7 volumes through absorption. That is total rubbish! Scienctists have demonstrated that biotin molecules are way too big to be absorbed via your skin, your hair or nails. Biotin shampoos are rubbish. Biotin nail polishes are garbage. Biotin lotions are garbage.
You must get biotin through good eating. Unfortunately, you can’t just rub some cream on your scalp and get beautiful locks that even movie stars would dream of.
4. Vitamin B7 Can Boost Metabolism
Biotin helps in keeping your metabolism levels where they should be. It helps a small amount, but every little piece helps. Maintaining vitamin B7 levels right where they need to be is critical for your hair and nails, but also helps promote a healthier metabolism. Greater metabolism means that you burn through your eats more quickly, leaving you with more energy.
5. Vitamin B7 is Not Pricey!
That’s right. Vitamin B7 does not have to come in costly little bottles. Because you can get biotin from some common foods you shouldn’t need to spend heaps of cash stocking up on thousands of pills. Save your money
What kind of foods are we talking?
Leafy greens, dairy products like milk and cheese, steaks (woohoo!), eggs and vegetables – it’s that easy.…

Benefits of Sublingual B12 Vitamins

Having a healthy body is important for any individual and for one to attain good health, several factors must be observed. There are also vitamins and minerals that the body needs so that it can function properly. One of the essential vitamins is the vitamin b12 which is in charge of the regulation in the nervous system including the brain; it is also responsible for concentration, memory, growth and development as well as the production of red blood cells and so much more.
Some of the symptoms of vitamin b12 deficiency are digestive, heart and nervous disorders like memory loss, depression, confusion, fatigue, headaches among others. Vegetarians are the ones usually deficient because vitamin b12 is usually found on animal products. With the vitamin b12 being important, symptoms that are caused by the deficiency of this vitamin must be immediately addressed. Several products and supplements of vitamin b12 that come in the form of tablets, pills, injections and patches are all over the market. However, there is a faster way that the body can absorb this important vitamin and that is through the sublingual b12 vitamins.
The benefits of taking sublingual b12 are as follows:
1. Faster and Better Absorption
The bottom part of the tongue has several blood vessels that are directly linked to the blood stream so the sublingual b12 vitamin is absorbed immediately and as a whole. Since the dose is absorbed as a whole, a higher nutritional value is achieved through the sublingual b12 compared to those in tablet form.
2. Immediate Effect
Another good thing about the sublingual b12 is that the effect can be felt right away, again because of its direct connection to the blood stream. You can immediately feel the surge of energy level.
3. Convenient to take
The sublingual b12 vitamin is one of the easiest ways of taking in this important vitamin. You can just leave it under the tongue and let it melt on its own. No more painful injections or expensive patches. The tablets that need some time to take effect can also be set aside as well.
When the sublingual b12 vitamin is present on ones routine, improvements like sharper memory, better mood and focus and increased energy levels can be observed. These are beneficial when one has to perform duties and responsibilities. And of course, a daily dose of sublingual b12 vitamin promotes good health, fights off diseases and can prevent b12 deficiency intense effects from depression to irreversible nerve and brain damage when the body is deprived of vitamin b12.…

Supplements – Effectiveness, Risk, and the Benefits of Another Alternative

The billion dollar industry that nearly everyone has been turning to in order to keep them healthy is the supplement industry. Just think about it; all most everywhere you can go in America you are likely to find a GNC, a Vitamin World or at least one aisle in pharmacies and grocery shops that is dedicated to displaying these “magical tablets.” It’s amazing; there are thousands of supplements that are used for an uncountable amount of reasons. The most common reasons that I find are weight loss pills, daily vitamins, and muscle building supplements for men who want to “bulk up.” The problem with these vitamins is that they are not USDA regulated and are often not tested, and if they are tested who is publishing the results and conducting the studies? Usually the company who made the product of course. Therefore, it only makes sense that they would publish positive results.
So how do you know if they are really working? When you begin to take a daily vitamin supplement do you notice a difference in your overall health? Most likely that answer is no and more no, but people keep on taking them anyway because they assume that they are working when in reality chances are; they aren’t. Hmmm… So now you see our problem.
Let’s first take a look at how supplements are made. The vitamins and nutrients are extracted from their original sources and are then processed and packaged into, tablets, powders, and gels, etc. During this procession the nutrients are modified and killed. When the vitamins are in their original food sources, they are a living part of a living organism that actively help that organism thrive. Once you separate the vitamin from the organism, both the vitamin and the organism die because neither is sustainable without the other. An organism is a perfectly balanced ecosystem that requires regularity and must be complete in order to live.
This is similar to the way in which a person becomes weak when they lose a lot of blood. So basically what I am hinting at here is that despite the fact that you are ingesting vitamins, they are usually not all that useful and will be expelled from the body as opposed to being absorbed without much harm or help. This is evident in the trend of middle aged women taking calcium supplements, studies show that women who take the supplements are no better off than those who do not according to doctor Neal Barnard, founder of the nonprofit organization called the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine based in Washington D.C. which concentrates on how diet affects the body.
Another factor that most people don’t consider is the safety of taking supplements. Since their production is not strictly regulated they are likely to contain ingredients that are actually harmful for our bodies. These include metabolic steroids, mercury (in fish oil), metals, and other indigestible metals. Also studies of individual supplements reported in the New York Times article titled, “Personal Health, Potential Harm in Dietary Supplements,” by Jane E. Brody on April 8th, 2008 show the harmful effects/ineffectiveness of supplements by stating: “observational studies of people who eat foods rich in antioxidants like vitamins A and E and beta-carotene have suggested these substances improve health.
But well-designed clinical trials found increased death rates among people who take them as supplements. And while low vitamin C doses can suppress harmful free radicals, very high doses promote their formation. The initial promise that vitamin E could protect against heart attacks and cancer failed to stand up to scientific scrutiny, which instead found that it increased the risk of heart failure.” Also, people do not consider supplements with the same respect that they do for medications and commonly forget to mention them to their doctors upon being asked what medications they are taking. It is often possible for the supplements to react with new medications or surgeries being preformed which can be harmful to the body.
Although usually these interactions are not deadly, in some cases they can be. Another harmful ingredient that was being legally included in weight loss supplements was ephedra, which was recently found to be deadly. Other weight loss supplements contain large amounts of caffeine which increases the heart rate and blood pressure dangerously and can lead to increased levels of anxiety in those who are prone to being anxious. These examples are just a few of many, a simple web search will bring up endless credible accounts of the ineffectiveness and risks that are associated with supplements.
Since taking supplements is not very effective in most cases, we must turn to our only other option, and frankly the more valuable option: FOOD! The truth is simply that we should be receiving our daily dose of vitamins …
